Inside KinClaims: Built for Credit Hire
Inside KinClaims, the credit hire case management system built for operators. Argument letters, BHR sourcing, period management and recovery in one place.
Most case management systems are built for legal, or insurance, or both. Then they are shoved at credit hire and called fit for purpose.
They are not.
Between us we have decades in motor claims and credit hire, and we have used every major case management system on the market. They all have the same problem. They are general-purpose systems with credit hire bolted on as an afterthought.
That is why we built KinClaims. Not as another general system pretending to handle credit hire, but as a credit hire system that handles the specific work credit hire operators actually do.
Here is what is inside, and why it matters.
1. Built around the credit hire case journey
A credit hire case has its own rhythm. FNOL, liability, hire authorisation, period management, repair tracking, settlement, recovery. Every stage has its own evidence requirements, its own documents, its own traps for the unwary.
KinClaims is structured around that journey. The screens you see at inception are different from the screens at settlement. Each stage prompts you for the evidence that stage needs. Nothing more, nothing less.
Handlers stop wasting time hunting for the right field on the wrong screen. The system gets out of the way.
2. Argument letters that pull from the file
Most argument letter tools are glorified templates. You pick the template, you fill in the blanks, you hope it is strong enough.
KinClaims does it differently. The argument letters pull live data from the file. Hire dates, vehicle group, postcode, BHR evidence, statement of needs, impecuniosity status. The first draft is already most of the way there because the system already knows the file.
Handlers review and refine rather than draft from scratch. A task that used to take a chunk of the morning takes a fraction of the time.
3. BHR evidence sourcing
BHR rates are sourced inside the system. No bouncing between websites, screenshots and spreadsheets. You select the vehicle group, the postcode, the hire dates, and the system pulls verified comparator rates with full audit trail.
The audit trail matters. When a TPI challenges your evidence, you need to show where the data came from, when, and how. KinClaims captures all of it automatically.
4. Period management and chase tracking
Every chase, every call, every email is timestamped automatically. Period of hire arguments live and die on the audit trail. KinClaims builds it for you in the background while handlers do the actual work.
Holiday periods, repair delays, authorisation gaps, all logged in real time, all defensible at challenge stage.
5. Recovery dashboard
Money sat in WIP that should be settled is the slow killer of credit hire businesses. KinClaims surfaces every file that is overdue at every stage. Authorisation chases, settlement chases, recovery chases, all visible in one dashboard.
Operations directors stop asking "where are we on this file" because the answer is on the screen.
6. AI where it actually pays back
The 3Rs principle (repetitive, rules-based, resource-intensive) runs through every automation in the platform. We have automated the work that pays back. We have left the judgment work to handlers.
That is the philosophy. AI as the assistant, not the replacement.
What is not in KinClaims
We have made deliberate choices about what to leave out.
We do not do general litigation. We do not do PI claims tracking. We do not do conveyancing. There are good systems for those jobs and they are not us.
KinClaims is credit hire. Specifically, deliberately, completely.
If credit hire is most of what you do, you want a system built for it. If credit hire is a side line of a broader practice, you probably want something different. Both of those are honest answers, and both of them save the wrong customer signing up to the wrong product.
Want to see it? Demos take about half an hour. We will walk you through a live file from inception to recovery. No slide decks, no general capability tour, just the actual system handling actual work. Get in touch via the contact page.
